you should be eligible under category 3 as long as your job is skill level 0 A or B.

Can someone else confirm this.

To apply under FSW3 (persons who've been in Canada for 12 or more months working or studying), you do not need to have a job in any special category.  You just need to make 67 points on the self assessment.

Hi Praveen

Eventhough if you want to apply under FSW3(temporary worker), you need to have managerial level position and you need to peform some minimum duties for one year out of ten year .

Pls look for minimum requirements of FSW in canada immigration site.

You are confusing FSW1 with FSW3.  The requirements you speak of are for people who are applying under FSW1.  Those requirements are having at least 1 year experience in one of the most wanted 38 occupations during the last 10 years.  Many of the most wanted are managerial level positions but not all.

For FSW2 and FSW3, you do not have to be in those fields of work but you would need at least 1 year skilled work experience.  Any occupation will do, even a shift manager at McDonalds is a skilled job.

FSW2 is for people who have a job offer (AEO) and FSW3 is for people who are currently in Canada and have worked or studied in Canada for the last 12 months or more.

Leon, for FSW2, can it be a job that is not skill level 0,A or B? We were having a similar discussion for someone else and we concluded it has to be skill level 0, A or B. I'd want to let her know if we got it wrong. Thanks.

Everybody needs to have at least 1 year skilled work experience (skill level 0, A or B) and 67 points on the self-assessment.

FSW2 AEO needs to be a skilled job offer (0, A or B) because an AEO is not given out for low skilled jobs.

FSW3 applying for immigration after 12 months in Canada does not need to have been doing a skilled job in Canada to be able to apply as long as they have a previous 1 year experience in a skilled job.
