Electrician in Ca

Dear friends,

My husbend's occupation is elecetrician and he has 7 years of experiance, 5 full-time and 2 part-time. We are planning to move to Ontario in a couple of months and as we heard, if he wants to work as electrician it is not necessary to get Certificate of Qualification, but most employers requrie it. Does anyone know:
- can he find a job without Certificate
- is it possible to prepare for exam now and take an exam when we come to Ca
- where we can find a literature in order to succesfully prepare exam, and can we find it on net?

Does anyone has experiance in getting this Certificate?
