Somebody told me that if there was an election going on, the immigration process would be very slow, even closed sometimes. I am not sure whether this is right information. Because apparently there is an election in May, will the CIC slow down or stop processing due to new government to be?  Sad

Hi

I have just applied for immigration 2 months back but my agent says that my file has been returned due to the fact that CIC in London has achieved its maximum limit of applications. Moreover, due to elections, CIC in London is unable to process my papers. However, according to him, I am almost approved and there is absolutely no need to re-do the entire file. The same papers will go back once again in July.

Have you heard something like this? My agent seems to be a nice guy but after reading some horrible stories on certain blogs, I am a bit uneasy.

thanks

Hey Fido, thanks for the reply!

What I was told is the government would slow down the process or even stop accepting application due to election. Then people have to wait until it is reopen. I am not sure whether this is accurate. Otherwise, it would be so unfair to many applicants like you.

Fido, could you please tell me the articles you read that makes you nerves?

Appreciate it!
