I also have a similar question. I have a medical degree which is called Bachlor of medicine and Bachlor of surgery (M.B.B.S) and its a five year degree. How many points I will get for this degree. I have applied in march 2011 and CIO has given positive eligibility review. If CIO would have allotted me 22 points then my application could get 67 points other wise not. I am a bit confused on this issue that VO will may reject my application if they allot 20 points for the said education

Well most of the folks say Medicine Degree is 20 Points. BUT may be the Immigration folks might have come to their senses and have started allotting deserved points to the medicine degree.

Anyways try getting CAIPS notes and they will tell you details of your points (me think).

You have one Bachelor's degree so you get 20 points from education. I am confused how can CIO calculate your points. Where is your VO? Hope for the best. What is your current status?
My visa Office is Buffalo and current status is RBVO since May 2011.

My Ecas status is RBVO and at this status CAIPS will show my points or not. Remember that I have applied in March 2011 and I got my first AOR from CIO in April 2011 and my Ecas status changed to RBVO in May 2011. Ecas status is still RBVO since May 2011. I think Buffalo visa office is very Slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dude, degree comes first... if u have 6 years in a bachelor degree and total [10+2+6=]18 years of education still u'll get 20 points.

at least, that's what I think!!
