Hi friends,

How many points are for 4 years medical degree plus bachelor degree in science.Will it be 22 or 20 points.Please guide.

25 points
You have a master's degree or PhD and at least 17 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study.   25 points
You have two or more university degrees at the bachelor's level and at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study.   22 points
You have a three-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship and at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study.   22 points
You have a university degree of two years or more at the bachelor's level and at least 14 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study.   20 points
You have a two-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship and at least 14 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study.   20 points
You have a one-year university degree at the bachelor's level and at least 13 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study.   15 points
You have a one-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship and at least 13 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study.   15 points

Medical degree is bachelors and for both degrees the points are 22

Hi wilson

Can you help me assess my education points? I have completed three years bachelor from university then completed two year master's from university total full time study with master's 17 years. How much will be count my VO? My VO is Singapore. I received PER on 30th of March-2011.  Received acknowledgment letter from VO on 6th may-2011. Still my ecase shows RBVO. No news from VO. Wating.... Please reply me.

thanks for the rep guys, but how come they have accepted my application in nova scotia if i didnt meet the 67 pt requirement? huhu im so worried right now.. because my consultant have awarded me 22 pts for the education as it was stated in their site, my full time equivalent study is 15 years... hays..
considering the word OR:

at least 15 years full time or full-equivalent study...

you are pre june,2010 applicant. so, CIO,NS just received your file and send you acknowledgement of receipt (AOR). they didnt review your application. your VO (manila VO) will review your file, and i am sorry to say that you will get rejected for point shortage.

 I also have a similar question. I have a medical degree which is called Bachlor of medicine and Bachlor of surgery (M.B.B.S) and its a five year degree. How many points I will get for this degree. I have applied in march 2011 and CIO has given positive eligibility review. If CIO would have allotted me 22 points then my application could get 67 points other wise not. I am a bit confused on this issue that VO will may reject my application if they allot 20 points for the said education

You have one Bachelor's degree so you get 20 points from education. I am confused how can CIO calculate your points. Where is your VO? Hope for the best. What is your current status?
