Education Points 20 or 22 what ???

I have a small doubt and i want to clear it out.....

If a bachelor's credential is a prerequisite to the credential, but the credential itself is still considered a first-level degree, then 22 points would be appropriate. It is important to refer to how the local authority responsible for educational institutions recognizes the credential: i.e., as a first-level or second-level or higher university credential.

What do we understand on the above paraphrase...
I am not able to understand it.....
B.Com University Degree from Mumbai, India - How many points to be awarded - 20 or 22 ?\
According to me it should be 22 Points for a University Degree with 15 Years of study and a Single Bachelor's University Degree.
This should help many people in the forum...
Please explain this.......

As per that statement  (which u quoted) one example is "If some one is simple BA then 20 marks , and for BEd they will give 22 marks". BEd is first level (bachelor) degree but If a bachelor's credential (here in this case BA) is a prerequisite to the credential(for BEd) , but the credential itself is still considered a first-level degree (BEd), then 22 points would be appropriate. BA/BSc is prerequisite to get BEd degree and same is the case with LLB. (if done after bachelor degree, but is still considered as first level degree)

for all other first level bachelor degree they give 20 marks.

Hi PMM,

Eventough I have 2 degrees with a total of 12 (intermediate) + 3 (associates) + 3 (bachelors degree) = 16
I still can claim 20 points?

In India BEd is entirely a different and independent bachelor level degree, after Ba/BSc ( bachelor degrees) people appear in state level entrance exams and then get admission in BEd!!!!! So this is just like PG degree(UG prerequisite)  though still considered as  First level university degree therefore may be subjected to get 22 point as per local Indian education system.

Hi,

 I am planning to apply for canada PR and I have a dought in calculating my points for education.

 My education details:

 10 (Metric) + 3 (Polytechnic Diploma) + 3 (B.E degree) = 16 years. from India.

How much should I need to consider 20 or 22?  I m just confused.

 I am planning to send my inital application to CIO tomorrow. If am not getting 22 points for education then i am shot of 67 points. So kindly confirm this. you have any doc to confirm this irshad?
