Where do you want to settle?

I am one of the few to go through the AiNP journey...believe me....it is quite a journey. Starting from preparing docs & forms for nomination, applying for AiNP nomination, waiting for nomination, getting nomination, again preparing docs & forms for CIC, waiting for FBI, applying for PR, waiting for AOR/ Med req, loooongggggg wait for PPR and finally getting visa stamped!!!
In between checking the forum and ecas multiple times per day....
Now, I think most of you will agree with me. I don't even want to mention that some of you, who have to go through few extra steps or wait for more than normal like....change in family composition or move out of country after getting nomination or how to get the passports to USA and back to get visa stamped? Don't worry, I have been through all of the above.
Anyways, coming back to the point....It is one of the few questions that all immigrants and potential immigrants to Alberta have....

Which city they want to settle in?

All most every one of them (except anomalies) will then zero in on one of these two cities....

Edmonton or Calgary???

Out of these two which one can be selected and why do you think so?

The discussion can be based on:

  • Job opportunities
    Cost of living
    Weather
    Education
    Health care
    Public transport
    Traffic
    To start a business
Activities in & around the city
    Night life
    Crime rate
Please feel free to add more if you think it has to be discussed or it is fit to post. Of course finally, the choice is personal based on that person's situation/ circumstance, etc....But your input can be more than helpful...believe me.

I'm moving to Edmonton, well just outside, but that's because I grew up there. The nightlife in the city is similar to where I am in the UK, crime is lower, education for my kids is better, taxes are lower as are basic living expenses.
I really like Calgary too, but I want to go home to Edmonton !!
