Hey all,

I've noticed there's an update on my ECAS, albeit one that doesn't seem like a positive progress. It's more like a huge negative progress (backwards).

I've attached a pictorial, maybe this would explain better.

Is this a system error?

Why am I being re-assesed as a Sponsor? (as indicated "Sponsorship: In Process")
Shouldn't it be the stage where the (Singapore) VO is processing my wife's Permanent Residence Application?

Ours shows the same.

I've requested GCMS and FOSS notes, so we'll see what comes back.

I'm hoping this is just a system error/glitch. I DO NOT want to start all the way from square one again.

Maybe this is just unusual UI Design practice (read: strange & poor user experience) on ECAS' behalf.

EDIT:
I read similar glitch happened to another person on the Singapore Applicant thread.

The two dates under the "in progress" sponsorship are significant in our case.

The first date (received your application...) is the date that Buffalo actually received our file.

The second date (started processing...) is the date that our AOR is dated and when they actually opened the file.

I *suspect* that this is a glitch in the switch to GCMS.

So, if your theory is correct, it would be safe to assume that my wife's Permanent Residence Application has been "in process" since May 27, 2011? That's the date that keeps on appearing again and again.

BTW, this is also happening to another person on the Singapore Applicant thread.

Yeah, it's happening to a couple others that I've seen here.

I don't know about other's dates -- have you ordered GCMS/FOSS notes?
