Ecas is not consistent with CAIPS

Hi,

My Ecas has been showing my status as in-process since 7-Jul-10. However, I ordered CAIPS's notes twice, once in Oct-10 where PSDEC was 0 with a bf'd date of 3-Jan-11 and most recently in Apr-11 where PSDEC is still 0 although ecas continues to show in-process.

I sent a case specific inquiry in April and  I got the standard reply viz.. Because of quota restrictions, CHC cannot tell me when processing on my application will resume blabla...

My understanding was that status changes to in-process only when PSDEC becomes 1.

Are there any others in this forum who are in a similar situation ?

Same thing here. My status has been in process since Feb 2011 (with the RBVO details inside) but on getting my CAIPS last month, PSDEC as well as others (SELDEC etc) was O! I have also sent a case specific inquiry to my Visa Office and I'm waiting for their response.

 @  Kkankal, The standard status on any application that is moved to 'In Process' is when PSDEC becomes 1. I realized lately that a lot of applications went straight to 'In process' without having PSDEC upgraded to 1. I guess the reason for this is to avoid refund of processing fee to applicants as a result of delays in processing of their applications since they have breached the 6 to 12 months period of processing of applications. In all, we have no choice but to wait.
