Hi all, Need some help here. I applied for my wife's permanent residence at Mississauga on 2nd week of July. Got an email from the immigration office on September 23rd stating that the application has been transferred to the respective country (India) and i am approved as a sponsor.
My problem is, I cannot check any of these online. Neither the sponsor's approval nor the applicant's status. No matter what i input, my name with the receipt number or her name with the application number, it tells me only one thing: "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided."
The only communication so far i have is an email from CIC stating that i am approved as sponsor with an application number...
Am i inputting wrong details or is this the normal way of life for people going through immigration process? Any advice on correct details to be inputted is appreciated.. thanks in advance.

Agreed... the sponsor approval gives you the Client ID#, use that along with your information since you are the sponsor.

UCI/Client ID number on that email from CIC is my Client ID number. Basically, they sent the same number that is on my PR card. Anyways, i inputted that and my details. It gave the status of my PR card renewal which i did earlier this year and nothing about my spousal sponsorship..

Ok, if you put that in as your PR card number and your information, does that show?? It is also possible that the ecas has not been updated, which is possible because ecas is not very reliable.

the same thing is happening with my sponsor. but when she logs with the application no. and my details then it shows the permanent resident application received on 20th July. it shows my name and address. |

Yes Buddy I am Indian (JAI HIND) ! Every case is having its own complexities and it depends on the VO dealing our case files and more over I gauge they are conducting extensive BC due to my previous profession ! FYI : I am applicant ! Thanks for your concern Buddy ;-) Regards and wishes, |
