Hi ALL,

Can i ask if i can take DVD movies not original to Canada?
I have about 25 pirated movies of different title and my intention is for personal use and not for resale.
Please advise...

Its not the job for the immigration to check on pirated movies.  But lawfully if caught by police with pirated movies you could face heavy fines.  Start a new life fresh without any guilt.

Hi,

Every baggage checked and carry-on are screened thoroughly at the airports. In case (not definitely happens) if you are asked to open and show your baggage at the customs for any reason, then they may see the DVDs and may ask what are they?. Pirated software, movies and any kind of *censored word* graphics, pictures and films are banned in most of the countries by law.Better don't risk yourself.

Hi, evelyn,

Wilson reply is excellent, and 1 should not take a risk,
But
If you would like to bring some movies for personal use, record all DVD on external hard drive or on memory stick to carry along. (No issue)

Yes, as hmisabpk mentioned, it can be done safe. Now the laptops have plenty of HDD capacity.
