I am talking about PR...I have applied for PR with My wife. We dont have a baby now but we are planning to have one before we go to Canada. I am expecting to get my VIsa by November 2010. So wanted to know if we have baby later how much time does it take to get his/her visa.

If you have a baby after your visa is issued.  You will have to return your visa, amend your application, add the child, obtain a passport, send copies, pay the fee, wait for the medical instructions.  If you medicals expire in the meantime, then you will have to have new medicals.  So you can see it will take a few months.

imran7799 , best option for you will be have your child born in canada itself, as you have mentioned that you will be
getting your PR by Nov-2010..

It is not that easy to get PR for your dependents (kids or spouse) after your get your PR

If I were you, i would wait for my self to be in canada first rather spending hope and efforts in order to get PR for my kid

Hello,

I have received my PPR and expecting the visa in September 2010. I am from India. I am working in US now and planning the landing in March, 2011. But after completing the landing formalities I would like to come back to US and re-enter Canada at a later date.

What if we plan a baby during the period I have completed the landing and re-enter Canada again - assuming the baby will be born in US and have a US passport.

How do we take the baby along with us when we try to re-enter Canada? What will be the best process? Will it help if the baby has US passport?

Thnx

I would advice you travel before giving birth. My sister is experiencing a similar problem, she was pregnant then 2days to the day they were to leave she gave birth.Fixing the babies name now is giving a hell of a problem. Now they have start the whole application process again after collecting the visa lossing the consultant fee.Bro leave when you have got the chance so you do not bring avoidable problems upon urself
