HELP PLEASE!

I have an FSW app filed last June 2008 here in manila (which is at Sydney, Nova Scotia as at Feb 2009 as per the CIC website).  Now my aunt is inviting me to apply as a provincial nominee in Calgary instead, since processing is faster - that is 12mos at the most!
Question is -
> can i proceed with a prov'l nominee application eventhough my FSW is "in process" - as this is a duplicate application.
> will this result conflict in processing?
got thoughts?

SOS!
please.
thanks!

yes i think you need to withdraw the fsw ... do you have fsw aor ?
if u do have aor then it should be quiet easy to withdraw...

inmy case i had applied for fsw and had not recieved aor ... and had
applied for pnp without withdrawing fsw.... i think they ignored my
pnp ... and sent me letter asking if i was interested in converting
fsw into pnp....

my guess is that it is always better to have one application at cic for
a applicant... the rules are confusing and not clear

hope it helps, good luck ...

Apparently, there is nothing that forbids you from having both going at the same time.  When you apply for PNP, you tell them that you have an FSW application going.  When they approve you for PNP, they may contact CIC and tell them to treat your old FSW application as a PNP or they may ask you if that is what you want to do.  If you don't want to do this, you can apply again yourself separately for PR through PNP and see which is faster.  When one reaches the stage of asking for medicals, you can cancel the other and at least get your landing fee back.
