Thanks alot... is there a minimum months of pp validity required for PPR?
Not sure if there is a minimum validity required but the visa validity on the PP is one year from date of medicals or validity of PP so its better to renew it er2d2g

To add to abhihappy's response not sure if you have applied through a consultant or directly but its quite safe to send your pp's by courier. We had sent ours by Fedex and got them back with the visa stamped in 9 days . Although after reading various posts on the forum I believe that Fedex is the most expensive option and Aramex is the most cost effective one. Hope this helps All the best er2d2g Thank you er2d2g for the reply. I've applied through a consultant. Just to clarify, you sent your passports to someone in UK for stamping or sent it directly to CHC.

You can send via DHL by declaring - no issues. But make sure u keep the copy of the PPR for the UK customs to check as its send to an individual.
Biju
Thank you Biju for the advice, it is much appreciated! regards, JM

Hi Guys there is a Sad news - as Captain Qorax will return to toronto in 4 days we wont be able to plan a get together with him.
really sorry guys Biju I've returned backHi folks, Sorry, I couldn't stay longer in Dubai, had to come back due to some fresh work/s cropping-up @ Toronto. Thus, couldn't meet many of u -- had few with Biju though, & was updated with all the happenings around. Kur & others who got their pps stamped/meds meanwhile -- CONGRATS !I took Etihad this time (first time) & I must admit their service was splendid. I thus recommend this airline (alongwith KLM & BA) for ur landing/s. -Long-haul, took 13.5-hrs.* Adh to YYZ (landed early though by 1-hr.), -Inflight service was nice & the meals selection was wholesome, -Express Bus Service from Dxb to Adh was smooth, 1.2-hrs., -We can check-in @ Chelsea Towers, Dxb itself (baggages taken care of @ Dubai), -Price: AED-9810 for 1xAdult & 2xKids (one way), -Had better leg-space (than BA, KLM has similar), -Inboard entertainment selection is good & widespread, -Cabin crew was extra courteous & helpful... felt good! -Icing on the cake: We get 2x23-kgs. Check-in Baggage each! My inbox is flooded... I might not be able to look @ them, regrets. I'd request those needing an/y urgent/explicit reply to kindly send me fresh PMs. Qorax*Remember, this is a long-haul flight & could be unsuitable for the kids. Mine got irksome midway. Ditto for smokers (like me) - in which case KLM via Schipol-Amsterdam is better, & tad cheaper too!

Where is the event and how to attend?
You generally get a CIIP brochure from the CHC with your MR. They need proof that your process is almost done before you can attend. They generally want proof of either of the following 1. MR 2. PPR 3. Visa scan for people who have not landed in Canada Get more details on www.newcomersuccess.caHope this helps er2d2g
