Oh Man... i pray that this would be just a glitch in the system... Well it seems that Iam spared from the tiring wait for MR and the VO has decided to sent me home early..ha ha ha atleast thats what my Ecas says today ! A jump from RBVO to DM today.
We received your application for permanent residence on May 31, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 20, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on May 1, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
I dont know may be it is a glitch....coz the order of the sentences doesnt make any sense..Guess i will have to join a few DM threads to get more feedbacks...
I will let you know once i get more info on this !

Hi All,
I have seen on previous posts that many pre-June applicants are getting their status changed to "in process". However, my status is still RBVO. My NOC is 1111 and VO is London. Is there a need for me to worry or there are still some guys having the same timeline, who are in the same status? Below is my e-case status:
"We received your application for permanent residence on May 21, 2010. We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 13, 2010. Hi rejis, One of my experiences was same as urs but for onething, it was the worst. when i saw change in the ecase,i called and informed consultaant/s in no time.surprisingly, instead of paying attention to my words, they tried to fool me by saying "ecas changes r unreliable and they dont go by it".then i requested them to send CSE and i followed up regularly to find feed back.they confidently tried to calm my apprehension, this went on for more than a mth untill i find another change in ecas. Bang! I kw somewhere sth went wrong.when i call them i hear that chc london infact had sent communication( by e mail) before my first ecas change and the worst part is that, the time frame given by chc had expired.i literally felt bomb in my chest.i had tough time to find the truth,my hunt went on calling different people in diff countries of their organisation till i got to the root of it.they tried their best to conceal truth and divert the matter by saying," they can get extension".above all, these people instead of informing me straight away, wanted to get extension first and then call me.they had put their max efforts to get me blindfolded concerning their negligent act. What happened next,i will write for sure oneday. Dear all forum members be attentive and get authoritative with ur consultants if the situation demads. Rgds
Really sad to hear this buddy at the earliest send a mail/letter to CHC asking for time extension from ur side, without waiting for tht stupid consultant. Hope things will be in track soon Good luck Biju

Dear Qorax and DXB fellows,
My knowledge about these things is very limited, so can you please advise me on the following?
1. What's the difference between Bank Draft and Demand Draft? And which one of these two we can take to Canada as proof of funds? 2. As I read a bit on the internet, you have to provide beneficiary's name and account details for the Bank Draft/Demand Draft to be made. How can I provide my account details when I don't yet have a bank account in Canada? 3. Which exchange company in Dubai can make a draft in Canadian dollars? 4. I am thinking of an option to wind up from Dubai (i.e. resign from my job, cancel my labour card and Dubai Residence Visas, etc) and make a permanent move to Canada. In case this happens and I collect a Draft from an exchange company for around 80% of my savings before I leave Dubai, would this draft still be enchashable in Canada? Or would this pose an objection? like this cannot be encashed in Canada since this was issued from an exchange company in Dubai and I don't have a valid status in Dubai anymore? Could be a stupid question, but I can't help asking it... sorry. 5. In case I have around 15-20K cash in the form of Canadian Dollars or US Dollars at the time of travelling to Canada, can I face any problem at Dubai Airport? Any problem from the immigration officials at Dubai Airport? Or is there a certain limit for carrying cash out of UAE from Dubai Airport?
Thanks and Regards.

Hi, 1. Both r the same. BTW, it's also called a "Cashier's Cheque". 2. U don't require an a/c in Canada to make a draft... It's however made in ur name (or anyone in the family, who'd open an a/c in Canada). The draft is "payable in Canada", remember that. 3. AFAIK, only Al Fardan Exch is currently providing this facility, for anyone. U could also obtain it from ur own bank, where u have an a/c... Many banks could do that, not all though, who have a reciprocal tie-up with some Canadian bank. 4. There will be no issues. As long as u have a draft @ hand, it's encashable overseas. Wait times vary though, bank to bank & with the arrangements both parties have. BTW, I get mine encashed within 24-hrs @ TD Bank with the draft/s made thru Al Fardan. 5. I never face any. Though there's the same procedure of "declaring the funds" in Dxb as well, similar to the one in Canada, ie. the $10K declaration... but I've never found a way/form to do that, thus never did declare anything. Good luck. Qorax

Thanks biju for the concern. The problem is sorted out, thankfully.after such a negligent act,i didnt want to depend on consultant & wanted to act immediately by emailing IO and my decision was well supported by captain qorax.im thankful to him for - his prompt reply, giving me hope & encouragement and to my luck he was online that very moment. All i can say is, my IO is kind and considerate. Im not over it.......,my memories r still fresh........although after sorting out, it appears that its jst a delay of over a mth,in reality the damage is vast....i dont hv words..... Rgds, Art.
