hello seniors

I have couple of questions regarding medicals.

1) form what I read in this website that as soon as I receive the medical repuest I have to complete the medicals from the approved doctors within 90 days of receiving the request? Is my understanding correct?

2) What happens to my application progress if for some reason I couldnt do the medicals within 90 days??

Thanks in advance.

1. Somewhat correct. Ur med letter would specify by when u should complete that. It might not necessarily be 90-days, some got a window of 45 & 60 days as well. The doctor should be a DMP.

2. As the previous member opined, u r required to inform ur IO the reasons. Else, ur file would go into a 3-6 months BFD and might move to backstage (meaning: unnecessarily delays).

Hi Biju,

I have send the documents by courier to them - Passport copy with new visa & Appointment Letter copy + 2nd AOR copy.

I am not bothered whether they give me points for this experience ( its hardly 3 monthy in new company) and even if they ignore this experience it will be fine with me.

My main purpose is to update them my contact details so that all correspondence comes at my new company.

Hoping for the best.

Regards
Paresh

Thats a Good sign  Cheesy Cheesy Very happy to hear tht

I think you need not send the update now, For sure u will receive a list of docs to be send so we can update ur present employment with tht as its new.

2. U'd face no issues due to that.

Hi Ja77

I got my IDP from the RTA office opposite the metro station next to Nissan . Its inside the Dubai Municipality office. The lady there offered to give me the letter there as well. Since I'm going in June I will be applying in mid May for the letter. If I remember correctly the letter is now valid for 3 months but its always better to confirm before you get the letter

While we are on this subject need some advice on driving in Canada. Can I still use the IDP to drive around if I have already applied for a license and in between giving tests ?

Both my wife and me plan to enroll for driving when we go down and if we can't use our IDP if we are in the Local license testing phase maybe one of us will do the test first so the other person can still drive

Thanx as always for all the advice on the matter

Once u have the G-1, technically u r not supposed to drive under the IDP, however many do it, I did so too.

no need to update about residance visa, and no need to update about residance address as you will correspond through p.o box and email. i think best way is to keep them updated about unavoidable situations in which you MUST inform is the option. with best wishes

thanks sterileinjection

Beware of all consultants. My Aussie dream went kaput and I lost 6K dirhams because of one incompetent and useless consultancy firm *****.Let this be a warning for all.I think people like Captain Q,Biju and many other good Samaritans are more than enough to go through any migration without the help of these consultants. So my Canadian migration I decided to do it myself and with the help of the seniors I am through.

Hi mats,
Absolutely correct, these consultants r trying to fool elite people.all most all of the applicants r well qualified and r capable of doing paper work.hopefully oneday i will write few experiences of mine for the knowledge and benefit of others.mistakes by anyone r always accepted but not BLUNDERS.heights of it is, these consultants instead of accepting their faults and correcting them on time,  try to fool us by lying and lying........ and delay things.

Thanks Qorax. Let's hope so Smiley. Someone who migrated a couple of years ago to Vancouver told me that the name on your Letter of Authentication and IDP has to be exactly the same as on your passport, or else Canadians will give you a hard time. Hence, the query.

Dear members,
as far as law is concerned.....IDP does not work with immigrant visa.
Even not for a single day. Letter jus help to get earlier appiontment.
It is only for non resident visas and yes, n that case it is valid for one year.
Please read law
