hi guys!

I have received my canadian immigrant visa last week and I'm planning to land there for a month in October.

Just an advice from people who have already landed and living there; we are two families travelling together (5 adults and 3 kids) and have plans to rent a 2 bedroom furnished apartment/condo/house for a month. My question is which area should we opt to live in and how much will it cost? Can anyone help to rent the same for us?

Any other suggestion for accomodation other than renting apartment/condo/house are welcome!

Thanx for all your support through out the process.

"Where do you intend to stay?" is the obvious question.

Getting house on short term would be little difficult. When i landed i contacted many short term rental companies but none of them is so professional. You cant rely on them if you don't have anybody here to meet them first and settle every thing before your arrival. So my suggestion is go to a hotel and stay for one or two nights and then search for house or apartment.

Hello Dear Qorax,

Hope you are fine.... My E-status change to in Process in June..... I wonder when should I expect Medical..... When ur e-status change to In Process it menas ur back ground is checked and u are about to get medical or Ur file will be start get security checks after ur e-status change to In process... Inside details are same as before whn my E-status was Rec by Visa Office!!!!!!

Have u any Idea that after getting status change is it a green signal towards Medical and if so then how long it takes to get Medical Request!!!!!

It is no signal -- green, red or otherwise... it just suggests that your b/ground checks r "on".

Give it 6-8 months to get something. If earlier - thank your God... if later - don't whine, u'd have your silverline soon.

Hey Qorax ,your the man...you were very right in saying that by "inprocess" i am good to go as of now..
Today i received an email from VO london asking for updated PCC's, POF and Updated IMM0008 & Schedule A/background declaration.
Its really a sigh of relief that they didnt ask additional documents for POR.
So should i confirm myself that i am out of that POR problem?Huh?
Also is it a positive sign?
plz comment

WS

It sure is +ve... yes the POR matter is presumed to be cleared.

Is it necessary to get the translation done from some professional.I got my documents translated by a lawyer and he has given an affidavit stating that he has translated the documents and he is not related to me.

Also can anyone clarify if the translated copies( i.e. the ones from hindi to english) also need to be attested by  notary.

Thanks and regards
