Where do we meet? The weather is bad for an outdoor meeting. Depending on the number of confirmed attendees, can we plan for a breakfast in a restaurant? The only bottleneck is, restaurants will be open till 11.30am only on Friday. So the planning need to be done accordingly

Hi Rejis.., most probably within 3-4 weeks CHC issues a correspondence letter. That can be MEDICALS, ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS or AN INTERVIEW.

All the best.

Dear BonjourCanada,

  Thanks for sharing your experience.

  1. Pls. let me know the validity for  Driving Exp. Letter ( i heard it will b mentioned 3 mnths on the letter.. is
       this the same period ?)

   2.  I believe ur wife had driving exp. letter from dubai !

   3.  Did you register for G1 Lic. (due to Name in Driv. Exp. letter)

Wish you good luck..
appan.

Dear Appan,
1)   The experience letter was valid for 2 months.

2)   Yes, my wife got an experience letter from Dubai.  She has 2+ yrs driving experience in Dubai.

3)   Nope, I did not register.  The officer in the centre advised me not to register for G1. He said that if I ignore the experience letter and register for G!, then I will be treated as a fresher and all the experience will go waste.  And I have to wait for 8 months to take G2 test + vehicle insurance premiums will be on a higher side as I will be treated as a fresher.  So, I did not register.  In fact, the officer advised me to approach Indian Consulate and get a letter stating that I am the same person in the old passport and the new passport.  With hesitation I approached the Indian Consulate and they said they stopped issuing such letters since 2008. They asked me to approach Dubai RTA and get such letter.  I will meet RTA officials and request them to change the name (if possible) in their records.  Actually my name is the same, but in my old passport, I have ‘Bablu” written which is dropped in my new passport.

CONGRATS to all members who received the maple leaf on their passports Smiley

a quick question.

How should I prepare the 2 self addressed mailing labels? what size should it be? Shall I just print out on A4 paper then cut it to a small label or what?

Thanks so much!
