This is what also i have known. While this has not been the usual practice, however, is there any guideline mentioned in the CIC website forbidding applicants not to send prepaid airwaybill for the return of the passport? I am just taking the word of my consultant not unless my consultant had fooled me just to get an extra amount for the alleged courier fee for the return of my passport. "OR" this could be the courier fee from my consultants office to Saudi Arabia as i am in Saudi Arabia and my consultant is in Sharjah UAE?

Hi Aspire, i second the suggestion of Biju. Have never heard CHC London sending passports directly to clients.

Cheers..

Dear Friends,

I want to ask your opinions about this. I have a consultant who is based in Sharjah UAE. And just few minutes ago I called them and asked them about how CHC London will send back to them my passport after the visa stamping. They told me that CHC London will send my passport directly to their office through FEDEX and will not pass through the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dabhi as they have sent a prepaid return FEDEX airwaybill during the time they sent my passport to CHC London. Furhter they told me that they have been doing this procedure eversince they started their operation and to all their clients and did not encounter any problems. Is this possilbe? To my knowledge got from this forum, is that CHC London will send it to Abu Dabhi Embassy and Abu Dabhi Embassy will send to us through ARAMEX. Kindly make your comments on this. Thank you very much.

I think This is just another way to take more money from u and if this is tru thts a great info

I have with me the tracking number of the prepaid return airway bill. Once the passport travels from London, I can track it and I will come to know where it is coming from and where it is delivered. I will give this forum an update once the tracking number is active. This could be a great info for future passport senders. For the meantime I strongly discourage forum mates to send prepaid courier airway bills when sending passport to CHC London for visa stamping. Regards to all.

Does legal translator and sworn translator have the same meaning?

Hi Aspire, yes its clearly mention on PPR letter, not to send any courier envelope as return envelops. For your further reference please PM me your email id, so that i can forward you the soft copy of PPR.

I have a question about funds.

Do I have to submit any proof of funds with the application? If so, what the acceptable forms of funds?
My understanding is that this is required when I land in Canada?

CIC website says "You will need to provide proof of your funds to the Canadian visa office in your home country when you submit your application for immigration."

Please help!

It's not due to submitting the pps -- it's due to the erratic nature of e-Cas nowadays... their software is being updated.

U have nothing to worry -- your pps would return, stamped, in due course.

Please help!

1. U r required to demonstrate, while applying, that u have sufficient funds to settle down in Canada upon receiving the PR. That's about 'stating' the POF with application [a must].

2. While 'landing' [entering Canada] u r required to 'physically' show those funds to a BSO @ POE. That's about 'showing' the POF to CBSA - our 'settlement funds' as per IRPA.

SATDXB,

Thank you. Actually I have the soft copy of the PPR letter too which was e mailed to me by my consultant. And yes, I found the instruction not to send courier envelopes as return envelopes. I will call them again today and ask them about this. Thank you.

Dear SATDXB,

On the same page of the PPR letter it did also mention this line:

"Due to the postal situation in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Yemen, passports and visas will be sent by courier to addresses in these countries. For all the other addresses, passports and visas will be sent by registered mail" What do you think what does this mean? thank you and regards.

Qorax

Thanks a lot, Qorax. Will bank statement of account do? Also, should the account be in my name only? My wife has saving bonds, can I submit them as proof as well?

Another question regarding the application package. Do I need to submit more than 1 set of the required documents (PP copies, experience letters, university degrees, etc..)? Or just 1 set?
