Today i received a letter (dtd 15 Dec) from CHC London requiring me to appear for the interview at Canadian Consulate in Abu Dhabi on 30 Jan 2011, both me and spouse (its stated not to bring young children)
The following original documents are required at the time of interview
1) Passport with residence permit
2) A new Application for Permanent Residence IMM0008 form
3) Updated Schedule 1 Background/Declaration forms
4) All the Educational certificates with mark sheets from secondary to the highest degree
5) A letter from your current employer, printed on company letterhead.
6) Current employment contract and payslips from the past 3 months
7) Documentary evidence that upon arrival in Canada you will have adequate settlement funds available.
It seems I am unfortunately a lucky one to be picked up from the group for the routine interview.
but any way happy to hear some updates from CHC London after 10 looooong months and now one more step up in the immigration ladder.
any way guys wish me luck

An update for you all on my case. Last week I wrote an email to CHC London enquiring about PPR. My file has been transferred to Case Processing Pilot- Ottawa in March 2010.
Therefore, below is the reply I got from CPP-O Canada Visa officer .
We expect to be able to start issuing visas in January 2011.

Dear Qorax,
I sent our passports to CHC london for visa stamping via fedex here in UAE. I forgot to put my mobile number in the self-adressed envelope, but of course I put my contact number in the Updated Information Sheet that was sent to me, is that ok?
Do CHC london is gonna use Fedex also in sending our passports back? Hope to hear from you, Im just being worried I don't to lose our passports hehe!

According to the last update, Sep & Oct 2007 cases received their requirement letters. Please share about any new update and if someone has any new info regarding old scheme cases? Average Processing time for old cases according to cic.gc.ca website is 79 months (CHC, ND) and for new cases it is 10 months. Old applicants can apply under new scheme if they so desire. One can withdraw 1st application or let that run concurrently. |
