In Sharjah or any where in the UAE the receipt of the national ID is accepted cause the ID card takes more than 1 mnth as per my personal experience, so pay the renewal fees and show the receipt

Why to waste money in National ID unless it highly urgent to go for it. If the work is being done without it, no need to go for  that.

Fyi now emirates id card is becoming mandatory, although authorities donot inform in advance. After waiting in queue for more than an hour you will end up coming back for not having the card.

Even while leaving the country if someone wants to sell his car spclly in abudhabi to change ownership Muroor needs Emirates Id card or its receipt. Whereas in dubai it is still not mandatory.

Rules change every week , so be prepared in advance. I am planning to apply asap to avoid disappointment in near future.

Hi Deeeaar,

How are you. Hope everything is fine.

I agree with you but this rule is not applicable specially in Dubai emirate. In Sharjah it is uncertain, in Abu Dhabi it is sure that you need to have National ID.

I got my PCC today from Dubai.

The usual timeframe is 3-5 months from the Med Results recd. @ VO. Wait till Jan2011 & then send them an enquiry.

WE SHOULD BE REALISTIC, GUYS!!!

It is very difficult to predict about CHC London, specially in current situation, there are unexpected delays and no body knows exactly, whats going on over there.

IN MY OPINION

We should take in consideration No. 1- The economy of Canada after recession, No. 2- The recent changes in occupation list, No.-3 The time for security checks could be more or less for various nationalities.

Even though the CHC London has not mentioned any thing regarding the above in the recent correspondence with applicants, but these could be the possible reasons for delay in PPR.

SUGGESTION

What ever the internal policy they have for backlog of old applications and newly created backlog of Fast Track Applicants, they should inform the applicants clearly.

They should give a time frame for all applicants in backlog like this:-

Example

2005 Applicants        YES OR NO  Till February 2011
2006 Applicants        YES OR NO  Till April 2011
2007 Applicants        YES OR NO  Till whatever the dates they can close the files

That could be a way to give some relaxation to the applicants, and they can plan their future accordingly. If I know that my application is going to be finalized in this specific month, I will be relax till that month and perform my routine job and will not send emails to visa office, asking about the updates of my case.

Presently, nothing is clear to anybody, many magicians and astrologist are failed to predict the exact time frame for finalization of applications!!

May Allah help us to reduce or eliminate that panic and confusion surrounding us, by giving some good news to all waiting for their future to be decided by Canadian Immigration!!!

Regards to all

a) The economy of Canada could be assessed by its $ value... since 2006 it has been always on the rise... even during the global recession it didn't decline (in fact there were few days when it traded above the US$). Since long it's playing neck-n-neck with the USD. If u remember, the AED was 2 to a CAD in 2004... then got 2.4 by 2005... & the rise continued, culminating to around 3.6+/- since 2009.

b) The timframes r posted on the CIC website... besides, their docs update letters/AORs always suggest the general time it'd take to materialize our case. They expilicitly advice not to perform irrevocable sale/decisions till one gets the PPR.

My 2 cents...
