This may clear the confusion
Priority Processing applications for permanent residence in Canada (Immigration) for family reunification, Quebec permanent residence with a valid CSQ, provincial nominees with certificates, dependents of in-Canada applicants and refugees in need of resettlement with UNHCR referral or sponsorship in Canada, from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Yemen are processed from 1st January 2006 at the Embassy of Canada in Abu Dhabi.

Declarations:1. If u r over 18yrs no Parent's Declaration is needed. 2. Military Exemption Cert is for nations which have 'Draft' system. Like Israel, Egypt [sometimes], Kerghystan etc. If your county doesn't have a 'compulsory mil. service', this is 'N/A'.

Qorax said london but now someone said ABUDHABI....who can i ask ? also can you specify where to live in canada city/town: and province/territory
my family is in toronto/scarborough can u tell me properly how to write this>
sorry for bothering
thanks 1. For FSW cases, the visa office is CHC-London. 2. For which city: Except for 2 cases, PNP & Quebec applicants, writing 'any city'here is IMMATERIAL to your 'actual' POE. It makes no diff what u write here.3. So, as u say, your family is in Toronto [Scarborough], write here 'Toronto' safely.

Scotiabank account from Dubai...
Dear Friends, As I had discussed earlier, plz be on the know that we can 'open' a Canadian Bank's a/c -right from here... in Dubai. I know many International Banks also have this facility, like HSBC, RBS, StanChart etc. But, those banks are better 'avoided'. Why? 'Coz, due to their enormous charges, low interest rates & poor presence in Canada. I suggest, go for ' Scotiabank'... Why? 1. Huge presence in Canada. With ATMs in nearly all over the country [even in small towns]. 2. Zero charges for 1 yr. [Free 1yr a/c]. 3. Free Cheque book for a yr. 4. Free remittances for a yr. 5. Free 'Locker' for a yr. 6. Free Credit Card [deposit inked, Limited] for a yr. 7. Has a 'tailored-made' a/c for us -New Immigrants. Called the ' Start Right' program. 8. All info @ www.startright.scotiabank.com. 9. Only 2 other banks have such presence, TD Bank & CIBC. But, both do not have a scene here, in Dubai. Why to open a/c here?-Ease of carrying the 'landing funds'. -We don't need to carry cash/draft/TCs. -And the money is immediate at hand in Canada. HOW TO GET IT ORGANIZED IN DUBAI ?HDFC Bank Representative Office is dealing with Scotiabank here. I have just touched base with them; and found their reps very helpful. For further info / action on the subject, plz note the following: -Tel. no.: 04-3966991 [extn: 214]-Contact Person: Ms. Tejal-Currency deposited: AED-Charges: NILMore on it later...Warm regards, Qorax.

After many many months, today I have decided that finally I will Apply for FSW Immigration this weekend. So I would be sending few more emails today and tomorrow.
My first question... somewhere I read that Payment should not be by Credit Card (don't remember where exactly I read it, but it was somewhere on CIC website). Am I correct?
Or is there other people who are paying through Credit Card?
Next questions will follow soon.

Thanks qorax, I read it sometime back somewhere, but now I was not able to find it. So you cleared my confusion.
My 2nd question: In Background declaration, for many questions, if activity is going on till now (like my current job), what should I write in "TO" field, "2010 02" or should I leave it blank?
3rd question: For "Economic Classes", Question 6, (Language), it says "Have you taken an approved test to assess your proficiency in English or French?" I plan to do that in near future. Should I delay my application till I get this exam and results? Or can I apply before that.
4th question: In the same question, it says "Yes (Provide a copy of approved test results)". This means that I must take this test before applying? Or can I submit without this copy?
5th question: For "Economic Classes", Question 10, (Funds). Amount of Funds... Should I declare the value at the time of initial application? Do I need to provide any proof? This value can go up and down in next 1 year.

[apply now & attach the 'receipt copy'] 5. Funds: Declare the value as of now [it shouldn't be less than CIC requirement]. Proof is not needed at this stage.

Qorax, As always thanks for sharing this link and your opinion. In one of the footnotes they say: 1 To be eligible for the Scotiabank StartRight program, you must have Canadian landed immigrant status granted within the last 3 years. Does this simply mean that its available to new immigrants who have landed i.e I cant open the account remotely?
