Hi all,
Just sharing my expoerience with all of you and require your kind feedback for similar cases...
* I am a UAE resident living in Dubai with Pakistani nationality.
* I have applied in July 2008 through simplified application process and sent application to Canada.
* They replied back in Feb 2009 and asked me to send my full application with all required douments to Canada visa office at London-England as simplified application process was not valid any more.
* I sent them my application with full documents including my IELTS result, police clearance certificates, experience letters, education certificates etc. I sent this in May 2009 to Canada visa office at London-England.
* In Nov 2009, they sent medical papers for me and my family
* We sent medical result in Dec 2009 to them
* Doctor specified that my wife has syphilis (VDRL) positive and she refered my wife to American hospital at Dubai for treatment.
* In 3 week time, treatment was completed and Doctor provided us with the treatment completion certificate from American Hospital
* In Feb 2010, I receive a letter from Canada visa office at London-England to provide treatment completion certificate from Designated Medical Professional.
* We contacted our DMP and treatment certificate was sent to visa office at London.
* We got one additional family member and sent visa office notification and fee and other required docs
* We receive in Feb 2010 medical paper for new family member
* Medical of additional family member was sent in Feb 2010.
* From that time till now I am waiting for any further news....
* Note: On the web site, it is still not updated that my medical result is received
Questions:
1. Please I require your feedback and advices on my case and how much time it takes more?
2. What is the next step, will they ask me to submit our passports to Canada visa office at London-England and our visas for canada immigration will be stamped in England? or will our visas be stamped in Canada embassy at Abudhabi?
3. Do I need to cancle my UAE residency before they will stamp my canada visa?

Our medicals was received by CHC london on 7th May 2010. And now they are requesting again an updated copy of PCC in UAE for me and my spouse. Is this a positive or negative sign?
Please advise.

VISA ISSUED...: sent on 8 june, stamped 17 june, recieved 28 june
LANDED..........: 26 july Inshallah

dont get worried its just routine...happens a lot of times...just furnish it ASAP and you will be all set to go..  |

Qorax, u r the man. You are always supportive. Although i found your links regarding all the info about landing but in that you mentioned that HSBC bank statement is accepted so i just wanted to verify.
I will created Bank Draft or TC.

I do not propose a bank statement. Though few tried & succeeded too, but there could be a hazard. So, observe the 80:20 rule. U should take 80% in Draft & 20% as Cash or TC. Qorax |

I understand that you cant possibly answer this with certainty neverthless this is my anxiety. We send our medicals on the 4th and they recived on the 6th of April. On 3rd May we got a letter for additional medicals for my daugther. We send it on the 8th and they received it on the 10th of June. When do you think we should expect any kind of asnwer from them? A fairness Letter or a PP request. Things have gone tough in Dubai for me, the company I work for is shutting down in Aug end. We have put too many things on hold and post august even if i want to, cannot hold them any longer. Do they start back ground checks and all that right after the 1st medicals sent or will they start after they recieve the second medicals and are satisfied? both my brother and sister had got thier passport request 3 weeks after they send their medicals?

Mr. Mirza, As u r aware my response could sound vague. But, your security checks must have commenced as your 1st Meds reached them. However, with the addnl request, a final review could have been on hold, till a conclusive Med decision is taken. Once that's done, u'd take around 1-2 months to get your PPR. Dear All
Can anyone help me with this...i sent my docs to CIO in may it was received by some guy called paul on 17th may but till now i have received no response from CIO and neither has my draft been encashed
should i be worried? is there any way i can contact the CIO office to ensure that they rcvd the docs?
appreciate an urgent response
