BTW, 1.7 million u say? In Chequing a/c? R u nuts? Unless u r talking about 'Japanese-Yen'.

A. Firstly, what u do with those funds isn't CIC's business.
B. U can invest them anywhere u want - even but a property/Bentley/Rolls-Royace [!].
C. All CIC desires is that u have the 'requisite'* funds somewhere in a banking product.
D. The rest/balance is not considered of any worth to them - unless u r a Business Stream applicant.

HI buddy

rgdg POF , u can transfer the fund not only to ur saving a/c but also to any FDs which give u more interest/returns, (FD certificates are treated as POF, eg=myself) the only doc u need is the same amount debited to ur current a/c which u showed now as POF and the same amount put as Fixed deposit in any bank.

in my opinion wht u did is perfect, i mean sending 3-6 months statements with applic.

Hi folks,

I have a question. I send updated PCCs and forms on 10 May (requested on 3 May) giving me 30 days to submitt the documents.

After that by one week, I received my CAIPs where they have indicated 17 June as the BF date.

When shall I expect to hear from them? Shall I contact them now?

Hi Amer, CHC might have send you already PPR letter. And there is no harm in dropping them a mail too. You might receive PPR in reply from them.

Dear Seniors,

My case is IN PROCESS with RBVO details.
Meanwhile i am planning to go for Umrah next month on my own car with my from Dubai.
I had a car loan from a bank and they are asking me to deposit the balance amount as a security to issue the NOC for my car.
They advised me to open the account in their bank and deposit the cash in that bank.

So i did so and they issued me the NOC.

Both the accounts are in My name ( My salary account in One bank and the other saving account in another bank ). I have issued a cheque to that new account.

Do i need to send both the statements to CIC explaning the details? My consultant is saying there is no need to inform the bank on this?

What your consultant says is correct.
In case you are asked for updated POF at a later stage, give the details at that time

Have patience my frndz ...right now people who applied in the month of Aug/Sept-09 are getting Med-req....Inshallah time will come for us very soon.......it will take another 3-4 months to get date in Ecas.........so u can expect something in the month of Set/Oct...if i am not wrong...allah willing we will be there if its written in ur destiny....hope for good

Actualy I got news that the people who got their 2nd file number in april are getting their Medical Request now.. I got my 2nd file in august. it means it wil take other 4 months means in november i must expect something!!!!!!!!!!! Hoping for th best.

if the ecase shows "IN PROCESS"  it means the file is taken for background checks

If the ecase shows "IN PROCESS" and whn u click it should show "your application has been reveiwed and we started processing on 00 june 2011" THIS IS A VV GOOD SIGN , once u see this , it means u can expect ither addt docs request within 30 days or MEds in 30-50 days maxx.

Thanks Bonjour, for the valuable information. My transit is going to be thru Amesterdam. I will put my money in a candaian bank, just to save it. I will carry with me the receipts and bank statement, just in case. How the Jewelaries that my kids are wearing, do i need to photocopy them and list them in GAL.

You have to carry photographs of all the jewellery you are carrying along and bringing-in in future. They will stamp the photographs and give them back to you, which you should carry when you move there permanently. All the jewellery should be listed in goods to accompany or goods to follow, as applies.
