me and my family passports are there in london for 6 weeks exactly, do u have any idea what is the maximum delay ? because my uae visa will expire in 10 days, I am worried
At max - 8 weeks... beyond which it should reflect that there is something wrong with the pps.At such situations CIC is known to 'not have corresponded' with the applicant... thus, it'd do u good to send them an email [sometimes repeat ones as well, thru both the electronic media] -- only then a staff of the VO might start communicating with u. - DANGERThe pps problem could be due to many reasons, viz: 1. Less or no blank pages in the booklet; 2. Damaged or mutilated pps [might be one or two pages -- but that's enough to deny the 'stamping']; 3. Non-MRP [Machine Readable Passport]; 4. Bio page of the pps having discoloration; 5. Bio page &/or the back page having 'oblique cut' [done by some consulates while renewing the pps]; 6. Inadmissible pps [eg. Passports from Somalia, Namibia etc.]; 7. Security issues observed with the 'actual' pps; 8. Enormous amount of POE stamps [need extra security checks]; 9. Etc.BTW: None of the foregoing is something that can arbitrarily deny u the PRVs. Most of the time a few correspondences, with explanations &/or rectification of the problem would get the ball rolling again. All the best ! Qorax

Keny...try to involve urself at the last but the most imp. stage instead of relying on ur consultant completely. Also u can ask ur consultant to forward u the email that they have sent to CHC to cross check whether they have done their job right. Most of our UAE members have "NOT so GOOD" experience dealing with their respective conslt. , spclly when it comes to prompt reply from them or CHC follow ups. YES.....You can write CHC to send you the PPs back for your UAE visa stamping ( mentioning the emergency ) but that will delay your PR visa stamping by almost 6-8 weeks , moreover when ur Medicals are expiring thats a big question. Check with ur UAE PRO , may be you have 1 month time even after your uae visa expiry. Good luck buddy ...
