   @   Bonjourcanada,

That is a wonderful update. Also, had read somewhere, that China Airlines (via the Pacific and ideal for Vancouver etc. i.e. West Canada) allows 55 kgs. Still, needs to be checked as that is also a good alternate option, especially, if you like Chinese food enroute!  Cool. Moreover, can have a free view of the Great Wall of China! Kiss

Best Wishes,

Pretty new to this group.. Should not have gone through the consultant if i had known about this... Sad I met them during Jan and i was told that my visa would be ready by November...in a matter of 11 months...

I had submitted all the documents to the consultant, got a mail from them during september 10 saying that i have a new file no. I am regularly checking the status on the online services site, following is the update

"We received your application for permanent residence on March 1, 2010.  We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on April 16, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the London England office on April 20, 2010. The London England office may contact you."

Now, i am bit confused on the AOR..Is it the second file name sent by the consultant or something else?

Thanks in advance to the wonderful people over here..

What is the differance between FTD & AOR?

My file was transferred on 29th June 2010 whereas my 2nd AOR was recieved on 19th September 2010.

8 to 12 months waiting period starts from FTD or 2nd AOR?

Guys, after almost 9 months (from 2nd AOR date), our status finally changed to IN PROCESS.....yipee!!!

From what I have read in some of the posts here whose applications are already IN PROCESS, the following line has been included/added to their status/remarks:

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on

Nothing has changed in ours though....how do I know when they have started processing our application and more importantly when is the estimated time that we will receive MR?

Thanks in advance for any inputs.
