Hiiii all
I'm from Egypt and currently live in Dubai . I've applied to FSW end of Dec. 2011 and I got the medical by E-mail from Ottawa Pilot Visa Office 2 weeks back . the problem is when I went to Health Bay Clinic & London Dubai |Clinic they both refused to make the medical test to me as they told me the medical forms should be stamped at my photo corner with Ottawa Office stamp . Did that happen with anyone else Huh? and is it really possible that Ottawa office forgot to stamp my forms !!! or should I try another clinic ?? Please help me as soon as you can as the remaining is only 2 weeks for the 30 days of my medical test . Thanks in advance .

Dear Qorax,

What kind of bank account do you recommend I should open in TD bank in Toronto. I am looking for one which does not charge any money from me, where  I would get a high interest on the money deposited in my account. Also what type of credit card is preferred. I'd like your opinion on this.(I typed this twice, as my earlier statement had a typo problem)

Thank u very very much!

HI Vinod... did you get any 6-12 months waiting letter as most of us got the letter with the following status in e-case.. Please check before you apply for PCC.

Dear senior members,

Two days back my Ecas status has been updated with a new line.
"We  started processing your application on June 12, 2012."

I think I am going to receive medical documents/PCC and RPRF soon.

Please guide me how can I obtain PCC (police clearance certificate) from UAE and INDIA.

Please help me.

Many thanks,
Vinod

Hi Qorax and all seniors,

I hope you can answer my question please. I could not find the answer anywhere.

As I know you get the citizenship once you stay in canada 3 years in the first 4 years of landing. My question is say I want to stay in Dubai till the end of the second year of my landing, which means staying in Canada at the last 3 years of the first 5 years(first PR card) what is going to be happened. I am lost.

Thanks

It is 3 years in your last 4 years and not necessarily the "first" 3 years.

hi

i recently did m medicals from healthy bay clinic and yes there was a stamp on my photograph as well.

i think u should send ur visa office an enquiry regarding this and let them know that there is no stamp, they will send u instructions what to do.

and by the way u can do medicals in 90 days, that is the time allotted to you , why do u mention 30 days? Does your visa office say 30 days?

Does anyone know how long it takes for work permit visa from Dubai.
I have got job offer and now waiting for LMO as company in Canada have applied it.
As per web site it says 6 months for work permit visa but I think it should be less than that.
Any comments plz.

Guys  did any one tried to send an email to London office recently on re-london-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca

I am trying but the mails is bouncing back,  this is the address on which I have communicated with them in past, and this is the address from which i received a mail, of which I am trying to reply.

Does any one have any alternative e-mail address of London visa office ?

No. I did not get any waiting letter as such. May I know how did you receive it? Is it from LVO? Did you get by email or snail mail?

Anyhow, I am not applying PCC now, once I receive MR in y hand, I will proceed further.

Hi Qorax - Please I need your help.
Our application was filed on Dec 2009. Our file was reviewed and process on March XX 2012 and we submit ADR on May xx 2012

Today we got an email from our consultant that they receive our medical request and they are now in the process of forwarding to us all the medical forms. Very happy with this news.

But I have a bit of a probelm -

As I mentioned earlier, last May xx 2012, we submit to LVO the ADR (RPRF/PCC/updated POF and several forms) Our updated POFconsist of the following (family of 4):

1. 3 mos. bank statment ending 30 April 2012 - CAD 16,000
2. Plans (with pre-termination option) - CAD 8,000
3. Market value (independent appraiser) of Property One CAD 30,000 - Property we bought 2 years ago

Number 1 and 2 will cover the minimum POF requirement

Now with their medical request they are again asking for the updated POF. The problem that we have is that we use half of our fund in the bank to pay for the investment in real property (new property). Im worried becoz now we are short of the necessary fund in the bank to cover the required CAD 23,000

Hope to get response from you at the earliest.

Many many thanks

For the POF with meds u need to demonstrate unencumbered imdt. liquidity funds [the amounts being as per the CIC table for no. of pax]. In this time ur properties [even if they r accepted by some VOs, most do not anyway] cannot be assessed. The funds MUST be under banking/financial products.

I'd liquidate the assets, obtain cash values, deposit them in the bank a/cs & submit their statement/s as the POF now. U had acted unwisely by investing in assets anyway during the wait pd of PR processing.
