Dear Qorax Bhai,

I landed in 2010 and got the health card for me and my kids. My wife couldn't apply for OHIP at that time. Now we are moving there permenently and I learned from someone that she has to wait for 3 months before she can apply for OHIP as she was out of canada for more than 6 months.

Please respond if it is correct or any source to varify the info. Thanking you.

Best regards

Emo

That's correct. U should have a 90-days' residence to be eligible for the OHIP.

Hi all,

I am from Abu Dhabi and I hope it's ok to join in this group.
I am a silent reader for quite some time now and have been following the post of Qorax:-)

My questions is, Why in my ecas it only shows like this:

We received your application for permanent residence on June 27, 2011.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on August 30, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Medical results have been received - (when they received, i don't know)

- We did our medical last March and send  all w/ visa landing fee April 2012
- What should be the expected time frame for next step?
Thank you

Dear Qorax, today my ecas status has been changed from RBVO to "In Process" with following lines"
"We received your application for permanent residence on September 20, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on May 31, 2012.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on May 31, 2012."

Does it mean that they have verified all the documents and found my case eligible?

Thank you for your prompt reply. I have applied for canadian immigration by the way. How should I inform them regarding the request, should I email it to them or write a letter and add it with my other documents such as supplemetary form and schedule one and Funds. Should my letter be stamped by my lawyer in canada?OR Can my  lawyer write the letter saying for example, they wont issue a PCC for my client. I hope if I do this, I wont be rejected afterwards. Kindly take a look at these 2 links it says that PCC wont be issue to non-indians from outside.

Seniors,,

In my CAIPS  they had  given  me 67  points  whereas  i claimed  also another 5 points  from my AUNT(Mother's sister).  But they  didn't awarded me that 5 points.

Shall i ask  them  why  or it's  ok  as  I got 67 marks  already.

For relation point  I had submitted the following items:

- My mother's  birth certificate
- My Aunt's  birth certificate
- My Grandfather birth certificate
- An affidafite declaration by my grandfather and notary
- My aunt  canadian passport copy, ID card, mobile  bill, tax  paper, bank state ment.

I think based on your timeline they have already accepted your papers (& also points ) and will be doing the security checks. I dont think now addnl points will matter. Anyways let other member's give their view
