Dear All

Appreciate if someone could give us an advise.

We applied as a Common Law Partner last 2007 and we are able to attend an interview in Canadian Embassy in UAE in 2011. Up to date no reply from CIC. Last month our status online is decision made but as of today i cannot view our file number anymore. In your opinion do you think our  case is denied ? 

We approach our consultant but he refuse to give  any feedback and he told us that we need pay some money so that he can check . I think he just want to cheat us. I understand also if our case is denied CIC should send us a letter the reason for denial thru our Consultant. but my Consultant refuse to give any information about the real status of our application.

Is it possible to withdraw our consultant on this final stage of our application ?

Is it possible to send a letter to our VO mentioning our problem with our Consultant ? do you think it is acceptable or we need to withdraw our consultant first before sending letter.

You can apply for CAIPS Notes to unferdtand the status of your application , you can apply online and it takes 4 to 5 weeks to come

i am in a small confusion that, i submitted POF as CAD. 16789 (for 3 members) where as the required amount is CAD. 17011, just shortage of CAD. 222.

actually i submitted Indian Rupees, i counted that time it was equalant to CAD. 17011 but in the Currency Fluctuation now it will be shortage CAD. 222 (appro).


is there any chance VO to make problem to me, because recently i e-case updated with line: Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 21, 2012.

please advise me what to do?

If you can do it by yourself (after reading all the info at CIC website & here on various forums) it would be great learning process & you will get better understanding of immigration process.  Otherwise, consultant would charge you AED1,800 atleast to begin with.

Becareful about your experience / reference letter, lot many applicants got refused due to wrong writings in their ref letter.

yeah i have not read the Info yet  @  CIA... hmm so it is better to go with consultants.. any idea how much they cost overall?? is there any reliable consultants in Abu dhabi?

For your education, likely you would get 15 points coz of 13 years of study. Wait for other inputs too!

ohh I Thought i would get 22 points since i have finished 3 years Diploma... so one more time i have to regret for not done the secondary schoolings

I am assuming that you have confirmed your NOC code as well, there is also a rumor that rules are about to change once more, so be on look out for them as well.
Regarding consultant , ii did not use a consultant and got the process done myself ,and it is not difficult and you have complete control over the process without waiting for consultant for every thing, but that is me, but it is more convinent using the consultant as there are no major headaches , bu this will also depend on kind of consultant you use, some are OK others are down right evil..

I am a Piping Design Engg, and having 10+ years of Experience.. There is a Mechanical engineers(2132) and Mechanical Engineering Technologists and Technicians(2232), I guess i can apply in these category.. and even there is a Drafting Technologists and Technicians(2253) .. not sure a Diploma in Mecha engg can apply in this or not.

I afraid that i will short of one point if i get only 15 points from my education..... My spouse have done 3 years Diploam in Nursing and 15 years of full study. is there any way i get some more points from her education and working experience?

Please recheck NOC list, there is nothing like 2132, 2232 or 2253. You may have to wait for untill end June or early July 2012.

Hi Biju,
Thanks for updating. It will be too early to ask such type of documents from new company. I already have 10 years of experience in Finance which will be enough for me to gain the points.
I just want to update them with my new employment (irrespective of my experience with new company by 4 to 6 months).
Do I need to do attest the Appointment letter and Passport copy.

You have many options

1, can take ur company stamp on the copy and send
2, attest by any legal translator lawyer in UAE
3,  notorise from India

Got it, much appreciated the way you guided. I am working on the same lines and will send them e-mail tonight. Hard copies will send by courier. I got reference letter from my director but that's on a plain paper with his signature and company seal. Attaching my JD as well singed by him. Wrting a covering letter will try explain what went wrong.

Relax ! If you have that sentence in your E-cas status..then they are processing your file.You might soon get a letter to wait for another 6-12 months or MR.They would have to request you the new PCC and other updates and if they have any problem with your POF, they would request you to update that again.
They would never reject your file just for a few CAD shortage.But be prepared to provide them the new POF with sufficient funds and to show them that you had this money with you for past few months.
