Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and would like to get the senior members opinion on what is the best way to go about the Canadian immigration process. Cause my family has applied through Primer and after taking the initial 500$ they never seem to have time anymore. So that was a very bad setback that we faced, but now we have decided to still go ahead. Thus i would like to know what consultancy firm do you guys think is good or if we should go ahead and do the whole thing on our own. please do let me know what do you guys think is a good option and any relevant information would be helpful. Thank you.

Oh God ... it's not my lucky day. I have just received rejection  . They have grant me only 20 point for my education though I have a master degree from accredited university in Pakistan ( Preston University) . Seems that they have not recognized the same!!! Anyway good luck for everybody. BTW I filed my application in May 2011 FYI buddy u can always give a appeal if u have the original transcripts and hours of study. Biju |

Thanks for the response JadedGeek.
Unfortunately I cant access Ecas using my file number mentioned in 2nd AOR number and I cant see any info regarding my File transfer in Ecas...What do you think...Anything wrong..or is it just the way it is..?

hi
1, only ur spouse and children can be included in dependent forms
2 mention studies in education column and part time jobs is work experience (if u have documents to provide)
3, yes u need to submit all supporting docs
4, its always good to apply with full family. Later thy can land and come back immdtly.

Biju, I have changed my last name during the process and has informed VO about the same when i had submitted the full documents. During the period between Ist AOR & 2nd AOR, I could acccess the Ecas using the ECAS using the Old lastname & UCI in Ist AOR,but not wiith File number mentioned in Ist AOR.After receving 2nd AOR, I Can access the Ecas using the New lastname,UCI and the File number mentioned in the Ist AOR,but not with Old lastname and the File number mentioned in the 2nd AOR. The error shown is a standard one."We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons". Also I cant see any details regarding File transfer date. Regards |

I can't find any reason way they give me only 20 points for education instead of 25. I have completed 18 years of study in all different levels of education and the granted Master degree has been issued from Preston Uni an accredited educational institution authorized by the educational authorities in the country of issuance (Pakistan).The official website of HCE stating that this university is recognized ( http://www.hec.gov.pk/ourinstitutes/pages/default.aspx / ) Baju , can you advise me whether I can make the appeal to the VO themselves or should I have do it the court in Canada. Is just writing a letter explaining them where the error is can make them relook into my case. Many thanks for your advise buddy

I remember reading somewhere that preston is an institution and not an university. Can you pls. check on the same and revert Dear Friend,

hi everyone. i got job in canada and company is trying to arrange work permit for me as immigration process might take long time.
can anyone please tell me that work permit is also good as immigration as i have no clue if i would be able to get immigration later. or can i transfer my case from work permit to immigrant later.
moreover would this period be counted in my immigration.
need advice

buddy, some guys have seen DM in their Ecase and few in this received letter from CHC for updates forms, PCC and bank statements. so just wait and see b4 u finalise
