I've searched through these forums to try and find out what other sponsors had done but can't seem to find much.

I'm a Canadian Citizen sponsor living the UK with my husband but I have also been naturalised as a UK Citizen.

As a sponsor applying from outland, should I submit a copy of my Canadian passport only or both?

The Canadian passport shows you are a citizen of Canada, the country where you are applying to be a sponsor.  So Canada.  You can submit a copy of the other one as well if you want to, and I would, but it's not necessary as the sponsor.

i follow the checklist and they don't mention that u should; i think many people in Canada have dual citizenship and from the info you give them (naturalized citizen, the day u got ur Canadian citizenship) they know that; so, if they would really want they would ask for it and put it in the checklist; also, they could get info about ur other passport from your landing record, the previous immigration file number, ...

i don't intend to submit copy of my other passport, but if u feel it's good idea then why not, it will not cause any harm

If you can't root out your Canadian or the expiry is close, your UK passport will have the place of birth on it.  My wife, Canadian born & bred, has only an Irish passport, but it said place of birth Canada, so that sufficed for my daughters citizen certs, and will be ok for my PR

Part of the requirements for my region say:

"If you reside in a country different from your nationality, include a copy of your visa for the country in
which you currently reside. If your sponsor is Canadian citizen and is residing with you in your
country of residence, copy of the valid migratory document granted to your sponsor.
"

If this is the case for your region I think you would need to include a copy of the passport since you would not have a visa since you are a citizen.
