Hi,

Provinces have different rules.
The link for  Ontario driving is given below.  You can go to other links from there if you choose MTO.

Hi,

I am one of those BC's driving license (class 5) holder.

Please do not get discourage by this comment, however I would like to let you know that on-the road-test is a bit tough one. I failed twice when I even had driving licence from Europe (local & international) and Sri lanka.

I would suggest for those who intend to settle down in BC, have your International DL. with international DL, you will able to drive for three months and you will get used to roads. Taking driving lessons costs you upto 30- 35 CAD per hour.  Once you are comfortable with driving on Canadian roads, you only need few driving lessons just before you go for the test.

Hope this would be a help in someway!
