is it a question or recommendation?

1) driving licence from countries which don't have reciprocal agreement  with provincial driving authorities will help you to get waiver from or reduce the experience time needed to take G-2 or G test.

2) Insurance is normally high for first 3-6 months (you have to switch to get benefit of lower insurance), normally the insurance companies will ask you for letter from insurer but this doesn't save you much money. Canadian driving experience count.
