Hi, I have a full British license which I have held for over 20 years. How long can I drive in canada before needing to pass their test? And is it a written and practical x

you can just exchange your British licence to a Canadian one without test.  Go to the licence centres for details.

The rules can vary on a province by province basis.

In Ontario, once a person has landed, they have to exchange their license within 60 days, but no written or road test is required.

They will check eyesight (they do in Ontario).
