Dear friends!!! We finally got our PR visas for Canada yesterday evening. Thank you guys, this forum is the reason we could make it. Thank each one of the persons here who made it possible. Qorax, Barsindoo, wpc71, penpal, shish, b2c, sandeepghosh, hinavin, coolguy, babutv2000, ash1967... and the list goes on. so many names, no faces yet, but hope to see a few in the near future. And of course to the host of this site and forum-believe me its social work that they are doing Grin

My case is an eye opener why you should NOT go for an agent unless absolutely necessary! We were misguided by a very well known agency in India- and waited in vain since 2006 to get a call from CHC. every time we called them saying my profession was in 38 list-cant we reapply-they categorically denied, saying we cannot have two parallel applications. the lady at the other end would very confidently say u'll get a call in 6 months for sure. and now the waiting time is over 90 months! but luck by chance one day we stumbled upon this forum while googling for information on canada by ourselves. we were fed up of waiting, the agent had requested us to not buy property in india as only liquid cash is considered as proof of funds. so we did not even invest our money in a house or anything- kept on waiting and trusting them like fools. a house that would have cost us 12 lakhs went upto 30 lakhs in a matter of 1.5 years. thats when we felt its enough, we either need to know the end or focus on staying in india. waiting for canada was costing us dearly.
from this forum we came to know that we can reapply, have two applications run at the same time, most importantly: WE CAN DO IT ourselves. our agent had misguided us right from the beginning- we had already come to the gulf when he filed our case-yet he did not update chc regarding so many things. anyway-Jako rake saiyan maar sake na koyi!
both of us are highly qualified and net savvy individuals, we really cant imagine why we were so naive and trusted these folks blindly. so all you guys out there wondering what to do-I would suggest do it yourself if your case is straight. no one can fill up intricate details asked in the schedules as well as you would, because agents dont have the motivation to go through this, once they get your money their quota is over. i came to know through other sources that my agent invested money in a very big business(that was our hard earned money Lips sealed, think of it he got it free of interest Shocked).

Thanks and All the best to everyone.

U have walked a longway -- just a bit more...
See u soon... Bon Voyage !

Dear Friends,
Thank all of you for your good wishes!  Smiley

@ spprivate no it wasnt *****, can't tell you which one though, its not fair on an open forum as I don't want to put the hosts in troble. Also please note that all their cases are not complaining people have got visas through them-cases which required no action, my point is agents don't have the personal touch that such applications require. they don't face the consequences if your case is rejected-so think twice before you hire one!

@ deeaar we are planning to land this summer latest by August. We'll be going to Toronto.

@  Qorax- Every time, with every post you only prove how good you are in what you do. Thank you once again for all the efforts you take for so many faceless friends, God Bless You!

CONGRATS!!!!! I too did not use any representative or agent when I applied under FSW, I just did a lot of reading to educate myself before applying.  It was a lot of work gathering documents but it was worth it!!!!!! Received my PR Cards and am happy to be in Ottawa!!!!!!
