I'm not sure how many of you are close enough to Chicago, IL to have your meds done, but I wanted to give you an FYI. He is the cheapest in probably the entire midwest ($165 exam + $90 xray). The xray is NOT in the same place as the exam. In my case I had to drive almost 2 hours to get there only to find out I had to drive another hour west to get the xrays done! So I had to go a different day for the xray. Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone who is going to this doctor.

WHOA! Does that charge include an appendectomy or something? Shocked

I paid $180 CAN for the whole package here in Toronto, and I though that was a little on the expensive side considering what I got. Guess I shouldn't complain though...

That's about what we paid in Kitchener.  There are only two on North Carolina, and they are both in Chapel Hill, the ritzy area of that State.  And we know we'll end having to do this again...sigh.

Oh and both North Carolina doctors that are qualified work out of the same office...talk about a monopoly!

Eeek! I Paid 320 + 90 today at Veramendi. The Xray place however was only about 20 minutes away.

I tried to get Chmiel- but after calling many times and getting no answer - I gave up. Sad
The breakdown of fees for me was;
115 Dr visit
28 times 2 for urine test and another blood test I think (slip is not near me)
$98 for hiv test
$50 for the Canadian Immigration processing

$90 for xray

HI,

My husband saw Dr. Boguslaw Chmiel, the other DMP in Chicago in February 2010 and total cost was $260 for exam and xray.  He did have to go to another location for the xray, but it was only a block down the street.  Easy walk.

Journeyman, thanks for the info. Seems like Chmiel is the least expensive. Just wanted to make sure $260 was the total since Veramendi is charging $410 according to the other post.

We priced out the DMP in Phoenix, 3 hours from my husband, he wanted 500 for the exam and 60 for the medical...

Here in my town in Canada the DMP asked 150 for the exam, we paid 11.50 for blood and urine, and 35 for the xray at the local hospital
