I have been trying to open GT reading general unfortunately I couldn't . I have ms office 2007. I knew I need Microsoft image documentation which I done from this "support.microsoft.com/kb/926198" website and follow the guideline but still I couldn't open it.
Is there any other way that I could download it as a word file as the file is not too big.

Also, I took the IELTS 1.5 years ago. My score was:
Writing 6
Listening 8.5
Reading 8.5
Speaking 7.5
As you would have already noticed... my writing is pretty weak. I need to take the exam again in one month's time. Whats the best way to go about this? I've already skimmed through your thread for writing and found it really useful. Just wondering if you could give me some tips to score 8.0 in writing in one month of study.
