Hii guys and Girls I landed two weeks ago and would like to share some of my good and bad experiances. I know there is one other thread for it but this one would be very to the point and straight forward.

So some of  Do's and Dont's are:

>> Bring more than 10,000 CAD in cash as you will need more cash in start as drafts may take more than 3 weeks to clear.

>>  You will not get any house on rent easily as you dont have any credit history so prepare your self to give atleast six months advance.

>> Do not buy pre paid mobile connection as it is very expensive and you will end up paying alot of money. Buy  post paid in which you will get free unlimited incomming as it is most important becuase you will naturally get more calls from friends and family in first few weeks.

>> Do not call directly from mobile or landline as it is very expensive buy calling cards which are available in nearly all small shops.

>> Do not waste time on searching home by your self. Its better to ask any broker to help you as you dont have to pay him anything.

>> Do not leave your electronics and stuff back home as nearly all can be used here just note there voltage limit it should say 100-200v input.

>> Do not worry about Halal food and Spices nearly every thing is available here.

>> Do not bring any documents translated from your home country as they are not acceptable here.

I hope this will help you all and i will keep on adding more with the pessage of time.

regards,

U need to immediately open Bank account and apply for Credit card. Try to use credit card as much as possible for first six months and pay in time as well  Grin.
Loans for eg for home may be difficult in early days say for first six months but not necessary u dont get response.

Its better to get the services from some real estate agent. As it would be easy plus you don't have to pay him anything.
