Does time from marriage to time of application matter?

I was just wondering if you get married and then very soon after submit an application for immigration, does this have any effect on how they view the marriage? or are they more concerned with making sure the whole relationship is genuine? i.e. if you have years of back story (photos, chat logs, phone records) but then get married one day and apply the next.

Also, are having pictures of your 'wedding' crucial even if you get a civil ceremony?

There is no problem with submitting an application as soon as you are married.  You are correct, it is about having the backup informtion to porve that it is genuine.

I would think that it is important to have wedding pics, even if just a few snaps, but if you don't you can add a note and explain why.

Your wedding should be one of the most important days in your life, no matter what kind it is and yes, you are expected to have photos of it, even if it's just a couple and if you don't, be prepared to give a very good reason for it.

No, it shouldn't be a problem if you submit the application soon after getting married. A lot of people do that, prepare everything even before the wedding and then after getting the marriage certificate, they send everything off to be processed.

Honestly, those two in unison (no pictures of the wedding, application sent off right after it) could suggest you just did it for immigrations sake. At least it would to me. But if you have enough proof of your relationship prior to the wedding and there are no other issues, it shouldn't be much of a problem.
