Engineering and Project Controls?

Just wondering how does the job market in Canada look like in engineering and construction at present. Will a couple of years experience in Planning/Scheduling, Estimating/Cost control with a global firm be of any help when it comes to job search. I have gained intermediate level experience of Primavera P3 and P6 in my rcurrent role.
