I would like to know if I have received a file number started with letter "B" , did the Visa Office accepted my application for process? Can they reject it after 3 1/2 years with the basis of me not reaching the required marking age, education, work, adaptability. Please can anyone share their views on this. I have received an AOR letter in December 07 when i applied in November 2007. Also an email .

I think if you are old applicant, who sent the application (Simple)...
Then off course you can get a rejection when they start processing your case, and ask for documents etc, if you dont satisfy the requirements etc.

Rejection can come from assessing Points, confirming jobs, documents, academics, medical, background checks, till the end.

Yes I am an old applicant, but what i want to know if i have passed the part to enter my application into the processing system. When they assess your application and it have not reached the criteria, they will reject and refund your money, isn't that true, would they still give you a file number if you haven't reached the criteria.

I understand after sending additional documents when requested and have not satisfied them i can be rejected.

Thanks for your input here.

Getting a file number (esp. under the pre-2010 system) means that they based on the information provided they think you MAY be qualified and are processing your application. However, this does not mean acceptance. They will still look at all of the documents provided and determine if they are acceptable to them and if you meet their entire criteria for immigration.
