I'm preparing to file all my paperwork, and I'm also about to return to the US with my wife with me, she'll be visiting me for a few months.  I'm planning on sending the paperwork to Mississauga in about two weeks.  Does it need to come from a Canadian address, or can we send it from the US?  Does it make a difference?

If it does, I can just send it to my mother in law and have her re-send it from within Canada.

You can send it from the U.S.  I'd recommend getting tracking, signature confirmation, the works.
