My cousin is an international that has already started to study in Canada.

On the passport, it only has the study permit and at the bottom, it states that "This does not authorize re-entry".

If the student needs to leave Canada for a week, does the person still require any additional VISA to re-enter Canada again?

In addition to my question, my cousin is an international student who comes from HK.

I'm looking at the cic.gc.ca website and under the VISA exemptions section, it says the following.

**•persons holding a valid and subsisting Special Administrative Region passport issued by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China;

My cousin has a valid password issued by HK government, does it mean she would not require a multi entry VISA to enter Canada again?

It seems that your cousin has not a multiple entry visa. So if he will leave canada, he have to apply again for a new visa

Thats not visa I'm an international student too and on my study permit it's written the same thing that it does not authorize re-entery.but my visa says multiple entry.I left the country and came in a few times in without any problems.visa Is given by the Canadian embassy and the study permit is issued by the CIC officer.so check the visa is it single or multiple entry.I hope this helps
