i am worried as my ecas is still same. it shows started processing on may 2010.

i am one of teh unluckiest guys , i presume. i applied under new system in dec 2008 and still after 2.5 years my case is not finalised.

You are not alone " the unluckiest" in such a dilemma. The Visa Office may not update the ECAS all the time and sometimes it used to remain as "in process" even after you get the PR visa. It means, they may update or may not....  Only solution is to wait as CIC informed.

What Wilson mentioned is correct, however, in some cases, people get an update in their ecas as ( medical results received) however this practice is not consistent.

Hope all turns well for you.

Cheers
