I was nervous about showing proof when my husband and I applied...we only sent pictures of the wedding, which we though would suffice.  After reading some people's forums I was thinking for sure we will be contacted because we had only a handful of pictures to prove the 4 years we were dating.  We used vent and skype for the longest time too.

I am sure as long as you have a valid marriage certificate it will be considered proof that you have a valid marriage.  If you have travel itineraries, hotel receipts, anything that shows you were together.  Maybe even letters from friends, family and co-workers that knew of your relationship stating that it, indeed, is a valid relationship.

Good luck with your application....as for your wedding, do what makes you happy, not what other people want you to do.
