Does any one has an experience with CIC Nairobi office

Hi all,
I am a PNP candidate from Alberta. i got nominated way back in Jan 2009 and applied for my PR under the PNP programme. up to now i have never heard from them  even an AOR from Nairobi office.  remember i applied way back in March 18th, 2009. my money order was cashed in on May 1,2009. i cant even believe this people cant even respond to any inquiries. their  fax, phone and even their email seems not to work. even when u ask them if they receive the package they are just mute and mute forever. its now officially one year since i sarted this process from PNP application to now still waiting for a response form CIC. is there anything unusual  here?? or whats going on here??
Somebody help me. how long will the PNP process takes to complete in Nairobi and how come they dont respond at all??

1.  You applied to Nairobi in Mar/09 that is 4 months ago, their processing time is 10-16 months http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/04-provincial.asp#africa
The probably won't reply to you regarding status requests, until it is outside the above processing time.

Hey PMM,
Thankx for the quick reply. it was pretty quick and helpful. but how come they dont send an AOR atleast before medicals ?? or even something to say ti was received. its hard to stay in limbo. and also i thought PNP nominees are gven priority and that  PNP told me they take eight motnhs to complete the applications. but then also how come that my money order was cashed and no file number in it??
