Dear Seniors

please clarify- the document checklist asks to submit "post secondary education documents" Does that mean that I have to submit educational  certificates of graduation and beyond or do i need to submit certificates of class 12th and beyond.

Also the EG7000 instructions advices us to compulsorily submit PCC however the checklist gives the option to submit it later when asked. What is advisable,to submit now or later.

Finally in case of any missing documents like PCC, educational certificates ,missing attestation/translation or documents not as per CIC requirement , will they ask for the same or simply reject the application based on the above discrepancy.Anybody asked to rectify/ resubmit the documents please share your experience.

thanks in advance .

1. College/University diplomas or certificates, Trade Education certificates - all certificates after your high school education.
2. It is best to submit application with PCC. But for reason there will delay in getting PCC, it is advisable to submit it at a later time when they ask for it.
3. You can submit your application even without PCC (submit later), but for missing/lacking certificates and attestation/translation -- this could result to your application to be returned because it is incomplete.

Don't give CIC the reason to reject your application. It always better to do more than less. My personal opinion is you should include attestation (notarized copy) and/or translation of any document you will submit (especially those not written in English language). I don't think your application will be rejected because of extra documents, but less will be deemed incomplete.  Wink

For the notarized copy of your passport it stated that:

Passports include only copies of pages showing:

  • the passport number,
  • date of issue and expiry, and
  • the photo, name, date and place of birth.
  • pages showing any amendments  in name, date of birth, expiration, etc.
