Hello all,

I would like to ask for 2 things please.

First, the police certificates how long last (time period before)?
and secondly, the medical exams how long last (time period before)?

Is there a place to read for each document the time period last?
For example the ielts test i think is for two years.
I would like to check in a time table and document needed, the period time before expire ...

this table will help me to begin with document that last more etc...

And if i am not mistaken i have to gather all first and send the documents in one mail.()right?

Thanks you very much.

I would tell u hw I prepared or gt my docs ready

ur first task is to take the ielts test.....nd the result for it takes 15 days to cme.

after u completed the test....u have 15 days to make other docs ready........i started the next day i compltd my ielts with the police clearance certificate......after that I asked my previous nd current employer to provide ref letter.....the next step is to fill the various appln forms u dwnld frm cic website.

Plz note just fill all the docs and try to save bt dont press the validate button until all the details on the appln forms hve been checked and nthin missing.......i validated only when i needed to take the printouts......

Also keep the education docs ready and other various docs that u will be submitting......

Make a new File and then start to put ur docs in order ........it wont be done in a jiffy ..you would be needin to add or remove docs as nd wen to think they are needed.....

I forgot to tell that u need to have the settlement funds ready too.....

I hope this helps!!!

Both police cert and medicals are valid for one year. Police cert should be no older than three months when you submit.

U need to provide latest reference letters from your employers wher u had previously worked and are currently wrkin......it should contain your current designation, total hrs wrked per week, duties u performed out ther and also ur pay if possible.

the generic appln form that you dwnld from cic website has a validate button........fill this form completely and check it 10 times .....after u think every detail is complete in the form only then press validate button........it will then generate barcode for the information filled

ok, but if i request this from my current employer, he will fired from my current work, because he will think about that.
It is very delicate issue this, from previous jobs ok, is  not difficult as well.
What do you suggest to do for my current employer?

ohhhh, this is very difficult to be done, to say that i planning to immigrate.
I wonder others what told to their employers in order to take these paper.
Some ideas?
if i say that he for sure he will fired from my work. It sounds very bad.
Is serious to ask something like that?
It would be more easily if they ask this paper after i take a first accept from the immigration process.
And if the things go wrong ?
I will not have job and not immigrate card also.

Any help from someone what he did in this so delicate issue?

Hi Gp,

Your situation is not  new, many applicants face the scenario and its quite natural that the current  employer may be dissatisfied if you let them know of your plans to relocate. VO are aware of this....

As suggested by Oh Canadiana, submit a cover note to explain that your job will be in jeopardy if your employer is made aware of your plans to immigrate (this information will also restrict the VO to contact your current employer). At the same time you will have to show honesty and willingness to share your current job profile with VO.

Provide any shred of paper that explains your current job...Offer letter, pay slips, appraisals, tax documents, Appreciation letters, any email from your employer appreciating " a GOOD job done"...anything.....

Just be transparent with your VO all the times... Smiley

Yes and also add in any additional proof you can get for your current job to satisfy them in lieu of the letter.  Mitali has a great list of ideas.
