Document Checklist for Sponsor (Sections 17, 18, 19) - Questions

I am sponsoring my Japanese wife for PR while living in Japan.
I have been living in Japan for the past 6 years so I obviously do not have an "Option C Printout" for the past year as requested in Section 17, I do have the following:
1. 2007 Tax Statement (January - December)
2. Payment Stubs for the past year
3. Recent raise in pay contract
All of these documents are in Japanese with figures in Yen.
Question 1
Do I have to get all of the pay stubs and the tax statement translated by a notary for them to be accepted as proof of employment and earnings?
Regarding 18
If possible I would like to avoid making a request for a letter from my current employer stating my period of employment, salary, and regular hours per week. I work in the IT industry in Tokyo which is very competitive and leads to a high turnover rate of employees. A request like this would raise suspicions that I am taking steps to leave the company, which I am but since the PR processing period can take up to 12 months I was not planning on notifying my intention to quit to my employer until after the PR is approved.
Question 2
Are the above listed items (tax statement, payment stubs, etc.) enough to replace the letter from my employer and the "Option C Printout" as requested in sections 17 and 18 of the Document Checklist for Sponsors? Can you suggest other documentation as an alternative?
Thank you for any response I get. This board has been very helpful already.
Why doesn't the NEW icon appear beside my entries? Do you have to manually put that in?
