Do you guys have a sample of a letter of explanation?

Good day to all!....just want to ask if you guys have a letter of explanation sample? Does CIC have a specific format for this one and should I have it notarized once completed? My situation is my old company closed down and I need to write a letter of explanation to support my documents. Since that its impossible for me to get an employment certificate, a copy of my old contract I am obliged to write that letter. Hope you can help me out. Thanks in advance.....

I think no need to worry about sample letter. Just write down your duties, duration of employment, your position, salary etc, at end tell CIC that company has been closed so you are unable to provide employer reference letter but proofs are attached like as, contract, salary slips and any thing else which can prove you was employed there. Is this seems to a big job?
